Interlude Pre-Order Policy

At Interlude, pre-orders help us bring in the toys you love! We use pre-orders to gauge interest and will adjust our orders with suppliers to meet demand. Other times, manufacturers require a set number of orders before they begin production. By placing a pre-order, you not only secure your item, but also help ensure that it will be made!
We want you to feel comfortable pre-ordering your next collectible with us. Please take a moment to review our pre-order policy below.
TL;DR
- 10% Deposit: Your item is secured once you pre-order. Deposit is non-refundable.
- 100% Deposit: Pay in full, get 5% off, and your item is fully secured. Priority allocation if stock is limited.
- Deposits & Updates: You'll pay your deposit and delivery cost upfront. We'll keep you updated on arrival windows.
- Final Payment: Remaining balance (for 10% deposits) due within 7 days of arrival notice.
- Shipping area: We ship to the UK only.
- Price Changes: Pre-order prices are locked — you won't be charged more if the price changes.
- Refunds & Cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable unless we or the supplier cancel your order.
Pre-Order Policy in Full
Deposit Options
We offer two ways to secure your pre-order. In both cases, you'll pay your deposit along with the delivery fee at checkout to lock in your item. Paying delivery upfront helps us prepare your order for a smooth shipment as soon as it arrives.
- 10% Deposit: Pay 10% of the item price to secure your pre-order. This deposit is non-refundable and guarantees your item when stock arrives. Your price is locked from the moment you place the pre-order — even if the manufacturer later increases the item's price. The remaining balance must be paid once the item arrives with us and before we can ship it.
- 100% Deposit: Pay the full price upfront and receive a 5% discount on the item. Your order is fully secured and your price is locked, with no extra costs even if the manufacturer increases their price later. If we receive fewer units than expected, 100% deposit pre-orders are prioritised. If you cancel a fully paid pre-order, we will retain 10% as the non-refundable portion.
Payment Methods
We accept payments via credit/debit card (via Stripe), Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, and Clearpay. Your deposit and delivery cost are paid upfront at checkout to confirm your order. For the 10% deposit option, the remaining balance must be paid before we ship your item. If you've chosen to pay 100% upfront, your pre-order is fully secured and no further payments are needed.
Shipping Estimates & Updates
We provide broad shipping estimates, usually by quarter (e.g., Q1, Q2), based on supplier information, but these may change due to delays from manufacturers or logistics partners. When you pre-order, we'll share the estimated shipping date and notify you by email if there are any delays or major updates. Please note that these estimates are not guaranteed and can be affected by factors beyond our control.
Full Payment Requirement
Full payment must be made before we can ship the item. If you have chosen the 10% deposit option, we will notify you when your pre-ordered item arrives in stock and will send an invoice for the remaining balance. This must be paid within 7 days of receiving the invoice.
If you do not pay the remaining balance within 7 days of being notified, we will assume that you wish to cancel the pre-order. In this case, the deposit will be forfeited, and we will release the item for others to purchase.
UK Delivery Only
We currently only ship within the UK. We are focused on ensuring a smooth experience for our UK customers before expanding internationally!
Stock Availability
We take great care to avoid overselling pre-orders. However, if stock issues arise due to manufacturer limitations, we will fully refund any orders we cannot fulfil. Customers who have paid a 100% deposit will receive priority in such cases, followed by 10% deposit customers, based on the order in which the pre-orders were placed.
If there is high demand for an item, we will do our best to secure additional units and re-open the pre-order as soon as possible.
Manufacturer Cancellations and Price Changes
Both 10% and 100% deposit pre-orders are price-locked from the moment you place your order. You are protected from any manufacturer or shop price increases, and will never be asked to pay more if the price changes after you pre-order.
In the rare event that the manufacturer cancels an item, we will issue a full refund, including any deposit paid.
Manufacturer Design or Feature Changes
If the pre-ordered item undergoes significant changes from the manufacturer, such as design or features, we'll reach out to ensure you're happy with the new version before proceeding.
Refunds and Cancellations
- If you cancel a 10% deposit pre-order before it ships, the deposit is non-refundable.
- For 100% deposit pre-orders, if you request a cancellation, we will retain 10% of the total as the non-refundable deposit.
- Once the item ships, if you return it unopened and in its original packaging within 14 days, we will provide a full refund (minus any postage costs).
- If the item becomes unavailable due to supplier or manufacturing issues, we will refund all deposits and payments for both 10% and 100% pre-orders in full.
- If the item undergoes significant changes during the pre-order period, we'll refund your deposit if you're not happy with the updated design.
Third-Party Services and Liability
Once your order has been shipped, we rely on third-party courier services for delivery. While we take every step to ensure your package reaches you safely, we are not responsible for delays or issues caused by these third-party services or customs. If you experience any issues with delivery, we encourage you to contact us, and we will assist as best we can.
Policy Amendments
Interlude reserves the right to amend this pre-order policy as necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated to you if they affect an existing order, ensuring you always stay informed.
